Scott Peek always does a killer job bringing in top talent to his shows, plus Standard Deluxe is the best print shop in the South. Explosions in the Sky is an American post-rock band from Texas. The band has garnered popularity beyond the post-rock scene for their elaborately developed guitar work, what they refer to as "cathartic mini-symphonies," and their enthusiastic and emotional live shows.The band's music is instrumental and completely void of vocals. For ten years, Blue Mountain not only ruled Oxford, Mississippi’s music scene, they were world renowned. Voted “Oxford’s Most Legendary Band,” and deservingly so. They were signed to America’s largest Independent record label, Roadrunner Records, were known for touring the globe with bands such as Wilco and Son Volt, and they played some of the best roots rock you’ll ever hear. On a personal note: probably one of my all-time favorite posters — that I have done. Expanded my style to really fit the band and was happy with the result. The BJCTA has had its issues over the years, the worst being broken buses and underfunding to fix or replace. When Federal funding came through to help purchase a new fleet of CNG buses, it was a great opportunity to re-brand and make a fresh start.
